Startreasureland Silver Pendant Necklace with 8mm White Freshwater Cultured Pearl

Pearls, like jeans, never really go out of fashion. And these days, they are at fashion’s forefront, with the predictable result that everyone wants to wear these lovely baubles. That may be part of the reason you are unlikely to come across an entirely natural, non-cultured pearl unless not only are you extremely wealthy but your great-Grandmother was as well. It’s not that cultured pearls like the one gracing this are fake; they’re not. But they do have a man-made core to them.

This pearl is a high-quality cultured pearl. It is round and smooth with a lovely pink luster to it. The pearl is set at the center of a kind of star shape embellished with zirconia stones. The stones twinkle and their twinkle draws the eye towards the pearl and, as the light bounces off of the stones, the pink luster is made that much more prominent. It’s a lovely and feminine design that I very much like. The whole is hanging from a 925 sterling silver chain. 925 sterling silver is a chain that is 92.5% silver, with the rest being mostly copper. The chain is 18 inches long and quite delicate. Personally, I prefer a slightly longer chain but the 18 inch chain seems to be fashionable these days.

The whole effect is playfully serious. This is a piece of jewelry you can wear to the office where your demeanor must be proper and businesslike and solemn. Or you can wear it with blue jeans and a black top. There I always something new and interesting you can do with this little, eye-catching necklace. Or, if you don’t want to be the one to wear it, it comes in a beautiful velvety jewelry box with “Silver Treasureland” embossed on the top. As such, it would make a lovely gift.
